About Morse Code

Morse code is a method used in telecommunication to encode text characters as standardized sequences of two different signal durations, called dots and dashes, or marks and spaces. It is named after Samuel Morse, one of the inventors of the telegraph.

In this translator:

  • Use a dot (.) for a short signal
  • Use a dash (-) for a long signal
  • Separate letters with a space
  • Use a forward slash (/) to separate words
